About Jared
Hi, I'm Jared! I hold a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Kean University, where I earned a 4.0 GPA. I have 10 years of experience tutoring mathematics at Ocean County Community College, working with hundreds of students, both one-on-one and in group settings, across a wide range of backgrounds and skill levels. I currently work as a Substitute Teacher in New York, continuing to help students strengthen their academic skills and confidence in the classroom. In my free time, I enjoy video games, soccer, and going to the movies.

People often say Math is their least favorite subject. I think that learning math is a lot like learning a new language. It can be difficult at first, but once you begin to understand how the pieces fit together, it becomes logical, creative, and even enjoyable. My goal as a tutor is to help students reach that point of clarity where math starts to make sense and feels empowering rather than intimidating. I take pride in helping students find their “aha” moments and build lasting confidence in their abilities.
When I tutor, I focus on clear explanations, patience, and practical examples that make abstract concepts easier to grasp. I also understand how learning goes beyond each individual tutoring session, so I am happy to offer homework or additional learning materials in between sessions. A little practice every day is the key to being a successful mathematician, which I believe anyone can do with the right guidance and mindset.
