About Vincent
I have completed the requirements needed to earn a degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics as well as Pure Mathematics. I am currently in graduate school to earn a Masters in Statistics. I have a 3.89 GPA and high standardized test scores. I have five years of experience as a professional math tutor and I have worked with hundreds of students of all ages. Students under my wing have had substantial increases in their test scores. More importantly, I have been able to fill any learning gaps a student may have. Some students are missing the underlying concepts behind the more difficult topics. One of my goals is to revisit those missing concepts so that my students can tackle math problems at any level! One of my proudest moments was when one student of mine mastered the geometry regents without even taking the course. With my help, you are not only getting test prep and homework help, you are reaching new heights you may have never thought possible!

I vary my approach so that my students get the most out of each session. For example, when helping a student learn about functions, I will not only go over the algebra, but I will also show the student simplistic visual models in order to solidify the concept. I tend to start out small in order to build the necessary background knowledge and then generalize the concepts so the student can apply it to more difficult problems. I bring a can-do attitude and help each student develop a growth mindset as I set out to make math fun and interesting!
