About Hunter

I am passionate about learning and teaching students of all backgrounds in STEM fields including robotics, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences and more! I have many years both in the acedemic research setting from my experience in Materials Science and Physics laboratories as well as Industry as a Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, and Software Developer.

I have connections to professors and students at many Top universities including: Yale, Stanford, UC Berkeley, MIT, and Harvard and can help with application prep and getting advice directly from members of these universities.

I love helping students learn what they love to do and showing how they can access resources and inforamation in many fields in Acedemia and Industry careers. I love to give advice to my students to help them achieve their goals and make new goals that best fit their personality and needs!

I began teaching in Highschool helping Middle and Elementary students at my highschool which was a K-12 school and continued into my Physics degree at UC Berkeley, where i helped tutor fellow students in non STEM degrees in Math and Science. After my degree I tutored students at community colleges as well as incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals. 



I have a BA in Physics from the College of Letters and Science at University of California Berkeley as well as 8 years of experience in both acedemic and industry settings in: Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Physics and Materials science Research, Software Engineering and ,of course, Teaching! 

I currently have multiple buisnesses and have developed products and performed research for National Laboratories, Top universities, and Biotechnology companies. I love to learn and believe it is a lifelong skill to learn new concepts and continue to develop the skills I have. I love to meet new people in the Acedemic and STEM industries and keep up with the most current trends to keep my education as contemporary as possible. I often teach in more modern ways than many schools and institutions and love to learn about teaching styles and techniques.

I will call or set up a video call with the student to get to know their needs. I will ask for any materials (syllabi, previous test, etc.) that can help with seeing what I need to do to best prepare for them when we start working together. I also will ask them questions about themselves: how they study, what works and doesn't currently, and general questions about them. I use Psychology in the process of teaching to cater my teaching style to each students specific personality to help maximize their enjoyment and knowledge retention.



I have worked with students from all age groups and backgrounds. From K-12 Education, to Bachelors and Graduate students as well as incarcerated adults and youths. I am happy to help anyone with their educational journey as long as they are looking to learn!

I love to go to events where I can play music! When I lived in Berkeley, CA I was a member of Gamelan Sekar Jaya, the oldest Balinese Gamelan group in the United States and have played at many performances. I also love to go to bluegrass and folk music festivals where I can play Banjo and other Americana instruments.

My Most recent event I loved was Thanksgiving with my family and my grandparents birthday, which usually falls on the same week, where I can spend time with my loved ones.

Prices vary depending on the particular need, as I can teach a wide variety of subjects and some subjects are more advanced and require more preperation from me. There are also discounts if the student decides to reserve more hours of lessons upfront, as this means I can better prepare to give the best education possible earlier than hourly session rates.
