About Uma

I have completed my Masters in Chemistry from a renowned university of India, then I completed full time teacher training course from the same university.I started tutoring since my student life but that was to my close relatives or friends.

I officially started teaching in high schools after my academics and continued for more than 6 years in different elite Indian schools. After coming in US I volunteered in my daughter’s science class and I taught students elementary and middle school students(Math and Science) and high school, college students(chemistry) in Cincinnati area during my stay over there.

Being a mom of two kids I love to read books, cooking, travel writing, taking care of my lovely family other than tutoring.

I really enjoy my knowledge sharing in a friendly manner, as I love to read so am studying with my students to give them a good feeling and to go more deeper into the topics.

About the lesson

First I introduce myself and want a brief introduction of the student.

secondly I prefer to talk to the student and parents to understand their needs.

Before starting I do some knowledge pre-checks of the student.

I usually start with the favorite topic of the child to build up child’s self confidence and reliability on me.

Once I am on, I make decisions instantly to tackle everything in the best possible way I can.
