About Tami
My top strengths as a tutor are:
1) The ability and eagerness to discern a student's needs.
2) Teaching students how to break things down into manageable steps.
3) Helping students develop skills which promote growth in confidence and independence.
I successfully homeschooled our six children for the last 26 years. Four out of six have graduated from college. Our fifth child is in college. And our sixth is applying for college this year. Two of our children became teachers (Math, History, English, and Latin), one an office administrator, and another an economist.
While my childrens' academic success is a positive testimony, for me, the real validations are our healthy relationships with one another, and their words of affirmation with respect to the education they received.
I have homeschooled for the past 26 years.
