About Kat
As an artists and scientist I believe it is important to creatively explore the feild of mathematics.
I myself struggled from a young age with the engagment of Math until I began to see numbers as a puzzle. The answer is more then just a jumble of numbers and letters, but a solution to a puzzle.
I graduated from UMBC with a BS in Environmental Sciences and a Minor in Statistics. I am currently pursueing a Masters in Art Therapy.
I have coach children ages 5-18 on a recreational swim team.
Work with Mrs. Dowds Teaching Service to offer after school snacks and tutoring services to lower income students.

To teach effectively one must first understand how the student learns. We will work together building a strong basis of what you know, and where we would like to go.
I seek to use familiar analogies and examples that truely engage or interest the student. We focus on the whole, the part, with the concept that not only what we learn today will shape our futures, but also how we learn.
