About Francis

Hi there! My name is Fran and I help students achieve their math goals by providing them with exceptional quality tutoring. I started tutoring in math 10 years ago when I was in college. I then continued to tutor all throughout college and grad school. I have helped many students with different backgrounds and unique learning abilities reach their goals in mathematics.

I have my BA and MA in Mathemtics. I experienced the math credential priogram when pursuing to be a high school teacher and learned a lot about student learning and pedagogy.

I currently teach at the university level but I enjoying tutoring students of all grades. I have experience in tutoring Elementary Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Pre Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre Calculus, Calculus 1/AP Calculus AB, Calculus II/AP Calculus BC and Statistics.

About the lesson

My typical process for a first session consists of getting to know where the student is at mathematically. Often times students will find themselves in a trigonometry class when there mathematical level is stil in Algebra 1. This of course is through no fault of their own but it is something I address at the very begining, so that we can work together to build up those math skills so that they can succeed in their current math course.
