About Byanca

I have been tutoring for over 7 years now. I've helped kindergarteners learning to spell as well as college students in calculus. I love to see the look in a students eyes when the pieces of the puzzle finally make sense to them!

I enjoy helping students grow in their knowledge and excel in subjects they find too difficult to solve on their own. A teacher does their best to help every student but my duty is to help a student wanting and needing to achieve their own goals.

When I was in high school my twin sister often struggled with math curriculums, she was my first student.

I have tutored in English, calculus, algebra, basic math, and helped several students during the pandemic understand their computers and how to improve their skills online.

About the lesson

I like to get to know them, find out their favorite subjects and hobbies, that way when I connect math to them I can bring in real world examples that can connect with them. I also like to make sure that I am the right tutor for them, as everyone wants their own needs met.

The youngest student I have assisted were kindergarteners in the pandemic, and I have tutored a man in his 40's getting his master's degree. I have been at all ends of the spectrum!

Perfect! I failed my Test 1, After that is when Byanca tutored me. Test 2 I got a B, then an A on the final. Byanca has a dynamic way of identifying the areas of improvement and with much patience taught me to succeed. I finished Intermediate Algebra Summer Course with a solid B and now truly understand the material.

She had a great understanding of Algebra (the class that Nick needed tutoring in) and was able to explain it in a way that just worked- and if at any point he was confused, she was able to break the problem down in a way that he could understand. Thanks to Byanca, Nick felt better about his testing anxiety and managed to pass the class with one o the highest grades! Thank you Byanca!
