About Tamun
I am a recent graduate from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and currently attend the University of illinois at Urbana Champaign. I have been working with kids my whole life and understand the importance of patience and understanding when it comes to teaching children. I truly believe that a solid foundation in any subject is crucial to learning and am willing to work with a student for as long as it takes for them to grasp certain concepts. I am also majoring in child developmental psychology in which I take courses in educational psychology and have learned how to teach in the most effective ways.
I am someone who truly enjoys learning and that is a love I want others to feel as well. I know how mundane and tiring the education we get can be and I have found ways to make it more interesting and fun for myself that I want to teach to others! My first session always involves some question and answering to get to know what the student believes their strengths and weaknesses are. We will start with some warm-up problems that involve a variety of problems and the student can decide what to work on at first from any they might have struggled with.
