About Amber

Hello! My name Is Amber Hartman and I am so excited to start this journey with you. I am currently a senior at George Mason University studying bioengineering. I have been tutoring in science and math since high school, where I worked as a STEM camp counselor for 6 summers. In addition, I have helped tutor at programs put on by my university for college readiness. The best part about tutoring is seeing a child's face light up after they comprehend a concept that they have been struggling on. For more info on me, check out my facebook page at :

(concealed information)

I look forward to hearing from each and every one of you!

I started teaching to pass on my love of knoweldge and greater learning to others at a pre-college level.

-STEM camp counselor:6 years

-GMU Power AID mentor:1 year

About the lesson

Repition and socrative questioning help students work best! I love explaining a concept to a student, and then having a student relay that concept back to me. It has such a positive impact on thr student, and helps them to understand the concept beyond the classroom/tutoring session.

I have worked with a wide age range of students, from 4th grade all the way up to 12th grade.
