About Joe
Hi! My name is Joe, I'm an independent tutor here and through other websites like Wyzant. I'm an pre-med student at CU Boulder studying Integrative Physiology, with a minor in Women and Gender Studies and a certificate in LGBT Studies. My focus is promoting diversity in healthcare.
I'm interested in teaching younger students here main school subjects, with a focus on science. I would be comfortable teaching anywhere from grades 4-12. I've experienced many difficulties in school growing up and suffer from a learning disability, so I do everything I can to make learning accessible and flexible to my students. My teaching style is generally patient and gentle, with a big focus on organization. My biggest hope is to give you better opportunities in school than I've had, and build your confidence.
I am new to tutoring, however I've worked for a long time as a professional nanny, and have a lot of experience teaching peers growing up. A positive to my minimal experience is I'm very flexible in the overall routine for sessions, and am happy to change my approach to meet your needs.
