About Daniel
My name is Daniel and I would love to help anyone learn the beautiful subject of biology! I have found that the best way to learn this discipline is to memorize the absolute basic terms and the primary functions, then most importantly understand WHY each piece of the puzzle matters.
I am looking for a part-time tutoring position, meaning:
(1) If you would like my services, I will commit to an agreed-upon duration of your course.
(2) I am applying for Alzheimer's disease research positions around the country. If I receive a position before the end of your course and you would like to continue with me, I will commit to Zoom lessons and work with your schedule.
(3) The number of hours per week you would like me to help you study will be discussed. I am very flexible and willing to go the extra mile to help in any way I can.
I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with an emphasis on biomaterials in tissue engineering. My career interests are in neuropathology and neural engineering, and I also have ambitions for a Ph.D. in neuroscience in the future.

After the student sends an initial request for tutoring:
(1) A Zoom meeting or phone call will be arranged to get to know the person, what course they are taking, and what they would like to achieve as a result of our study.
(2) Once we set a date and time to have the first lesson, a contract will be signed by both parties. The expectations, hourly rate, and dates for our meetings will be agreed upon.
(3) Each unit the student would like assistance will be provided to me before the session. I expect that the student has made an attempt to read and understand the material beforehand.
(4) Our session will begin with me asking a variety of questions about what the student knows. I will not judge or scold if the student does not know much, however, the student will be most enriched from the lesson if they have made an honest and thorough effort to learn as much as possible.
(5) I will find where the deficiencies in knowledge are and help explain the material in a way that excites and relates to the student. I will assign homework at the end for the student to invest in the subject outside of our lessons. This will be sent to me a day before the next lesson.
I have worked with other students in my college classes.
Graduating from UTA was a surreal experience. When I walked across the stage and received my diploma, it made every sleepless hour of studying and research in Biomedical Engineering completely worthwhile. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of this field in any way possible!
