About Jennifer

Learn everything you want to know about digital art by someone in the animation industry. My most recent film was working on the upcoming Scoob! Prior I worked on 2 Elf on The Shelf films and some commercial work. I have a BFA in animation with a concentration in character technical direction. I also have an MFA in Visual Effects. Both degrees are from Savannah College of Art and Design.

in the 3D world I have specialized in cloth and hair simulation, and character rigging. I have worked as a generalist and have knowledge on how to model, light, shade, texture, and render as well. On the 2D side, I have made logos, flyers, brochures, info graphics, video production and more.

I have a BFA in Animation with a concentration in character technical direction. I also have an MFA in Visual effects. At my various jobs I have had lead positions where I am inchagrge of a group of employess and many times I hasve had to help more junior artists. In these cases I am usually teaching techniques that can improve their workflow.

About the lesson

First finding out what their needs are and the areas they want to improve. I try to focus on making sure they undderstand the material and not just memorize things. I want to help a student feel confident in what they are doing and providing as much support and guidenace as possible for them to strive.

In this industry you constantly have to learn. Software is always changing and improving and you have to love learning it. The beginning it the roughest part, but once you pass that hurdle it becomes easier. seeking mentors and tutors who are active in this industry is the best way to lern what is really being implemented in this industry. It will give you a clear path on where you will want to go. Many people strt this career thinking they want to go one direction, but end up switching around a lot. With early tutoring and mentoring you can be more clear and confident.
