About Emma

Hi, I’m Emma and I love InDesign.

I’ve spent 22 years in the design world, working in roles from art director and lead designer to design support. For the past 13 years, I’ve been self-employed full time, combining client work with teaching. I’ve also trained adults in-house in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, which led to providing InDesign support for an online Adobe training company.

My passion is publication design, mainly magazines, but really any large-scale document. InDesign is an amazing program, and helping others discover its potential is incredibly rewarding. If I can share that passion and knowledge with you, it’s a win for both of us.

About the lesson

In this InDesign session/s, you’ll learn how to take your ideas from concept all the way to proud completion. Whether you’re creating magazines, brochures, newsletters, or large-scale documents, we’ll work through the essential tools and techniques to help you work efficiently, creatively, and with confidence. I love a good shortcut too, so have your pen ready!

From beginner to advanced, I’m here to help you improve your layout, typography, image placement, and overall workflow, making even complex projects manageable. We’ll explore practical tips for speeding up your work, organising your files, and getting the most out of InDesign’s amazing features.

With a focus on building your confidence, by the end of the session you’ll not only understand the software better but also feel inspired and equipped to bring your projects to life with ease, speed, and professional polish.
