About Dmitri
I am an artist living in Florida. Painting has always been a central part of my identity as a human being. My portfolio draws mostly result of my inspiration from visiting many countries. Color plays a major role in my life. I am drawn to bold, vibrant colors to create paintings that express my love for nature. I use traditional materials, oil and brush on canvas to capture movement and life. The subject matter is nature, whether it is a landscape, people, bird or flower painting. My paintings are realistic, impressionistic and pop in style. Painting is liberating and relaxing. It fills me with a sense of self-worth and confidence.

About the lesson

Course Structure: Students will be pencil drawing and painting the majority of the time, but there will also be slide lectures, demos, class discussions, and short writing projects. You will examine ways blending techniques to create depth, as well as basic color mixing. You’ll receive a handout via email before each class that explains the project we’ll be doing that week and which materials to bring.
