About Dhruva

Having graduated from high school in 2020, I have a fresh understanding of what is being taught in school and how it is being taught. I tutor AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Algebra 2, Geometry, Algebra 1, Pre-Algebra, and AP US History. In addition to these classes I also tutor SAT Math and English. On the SAT I scored 1490 overall, 750 Reading Writing, and 740 Math. In all of the classes that I tutor, I have received a grade of 92 or higher and have taken them within the past 5 years. Some tutoring experience that I have is tutoring math at a local tutoring center for elementary and middle schoolers. I also have experience tutoring high schoolers in math through personal tutoring.

I love seeing students improve and reach the goals that they aimed to reach. I love to learn, so being able to share my knowledge with others always puts a smile on my face.

I started teaching 4 years ago. I volunteerd where I taught kids K-8 in math and reading. I later transited to working at Gideon Math and Reading School

I have taken the SAT and ACT (2020 and 2019) and have scored well on both of them. I have also received a 92 or higher in every class that I teach.

About the lesson

I first ask the student what they are struggling with and build a specific curriculum for them. I will watch the student attempt a problem that they are struggling with and then help when I see the student make a mistake. I let my students know that I am there for them all the way.

I have worked with students aged 4-22. I have worked with students who did not know anything when first coming to me and students who were doing well in school. I tutored kids struggling in both Math and English.

I would make sure that the teacher is up to date on what they are teaching so that what they are teaching is not outdated,

A recent event that I am fond of was when I helped a student go from getting 500's on his SAT Math to getting 700+.

A student should ask the teacher how they are going to teach. Whether it is 1 on 1 or in a group.
