I first decide if the student is intesred in film, TV or Theater as the process is a bit different for each. Then I see if they have particular material, and if not I will assign them a scene or monologue in the correct genre. I have a background in all types of training: Meisner, Stanislavski, Alexander Technique and even, Harold Guskin. I pick and chose what I think will serve my particular student. I am not a one size fits all teacher as no student is alike and this is a very specific and personal art form.
