About Tyler
I love being creative. I always strive to challenge myself and I encourage my students to do the same. It is my ambition to save the world through art, a medium that increases a person's empathy quotient. If I can increase the empathy in others, and even pass on what I know to others, I will know that my work is continuing.
Let's work together to leave the world better than we found it.
A great deal of my work has been in Theatre for Young Audiences. I love being able to spread joy and emapthy and I love it even more if those I work with learn some new perspective that they are then able to share with someone else. Every life we touch with empathy is a world saved.
Growth occurs on a incremental level. To become the artist you are is like growing a forest from a small seed. To be part of that growth would be a true honor.
Breakthroughs are also awesome. They make you feel like you've leveled up in a video game.
I grew into teaching organically. I found that as I was learning my craft (and I am always learning my craft), I was also able to help my contemporaries by teaching them things I've picked up along my journey.
To paraphrase the old saying, teachers learn just as much from their students.

Barter Theatre [LORT-D] (3 years)- performed in 35 productions during tenure. Productions varied in scope, included musical theatre and plays.

My motto is "run to the fear." With hard work, focus, humility, and self-respect, there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome.
We will spend some time establishing goals and expectations of each other, as well as a level of artistic trust that can encourage an enviroment of risk-taking in a safe space. We will also work together to find a collection of material to work on and experiement with.
My goal is to guide my fellow actors to the truth of what they're working on as organically as possible. I also want to guide my students to find a level a self-reliance that will allow them to trust themselves to accomplish their own goals.
Primarily with preK and elementary students to learn foundations of creativity and expression.
I'm very excited to work with students of all ages, skill levels, and passions.
Humility and trust are going to be your best friends on your journey. Good teachers also have this, and are looking for students able to meet them in the middle.
Also, be sure to sprinkle that with a healthy amount of self-respect. Know thyself. Your goals and ambitions may not align with a teacher and that's okay.

Perfect! Everything!!!!!
Perfect! He works well with kids. My son can't stop bouncing around from excitement since his first session with Tyler. My son is discovering a talent he never knew he had, and I'm glad he has someone like Tyler to aid him on his journey. I highly recommend him!
