About Michael Ray

Michael Ray Wisely- we’ll know to Bay Area Audiences, Michael Ray has worked Off-Broadway, regionally and internationally for over 25 years. He has worked professionally in all mediums as an actor, director, writer, producer and a filmmaker. As a teacher he has taught every level of student in theatre, on camera, voice-over and public speaking.

I started teaching right out of college as a resident director for Children’s Theatre Workshop. Once I established myself in the professional Theatre, I began to be asked to guest lecture in colleges around the San Francisco Bay Area. I also became in demand in the corporate world teaching public speaking and advising and writing content for corporate presentation. I have taught Shakespeare, scene study, film and voice-over

I’ve been classically trained in Acting and Shakespeare in college, private study, some of the crafts best teachers and with over 25 years on the stage, in front of a camera and a microphone. My study has been in all forms from Stanislavsky to Suzuki, Adler, Cohen, and Hagen, however, my greatest teachers have been mentors, fellow actors, and my daughter.

I like to find out who the student is in their own process or what they bring as a human to the craft of acting and tailor my approach to their individual strengths and goals. Then create a plan for getting them there.

I’ve worked with every level and every age, from 7-70 and beginner to working professional.
