About Marva
My services stand out from the crowd because I have over 23 years of successful teaching as a background. In the Public schools, and in the private sector, I have built a name for myself that demonstrates commitment, and passion to my constituents. I love what I do! :) Acting/ performance is a powerful energy, and can really unlock the potential of a person in their personal life and also in the professional arena.
What I enjoy most about about teaching acting lessons is providing the opportunity for my students to tap in to their creativity, and their confidence. In my courses we cover, breath work, grounding, meditation, character analysis, Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Method acting, monologue work, Dramatic Elements, acting for camera, pantomime, gestures, accents, scenework,improv, auditions etc. I love to help my students reach their goals. I am a certified teacher with over 23 years of successful classroom experience, teaching grade level kindergarten through high school as well as in college and two teachers as well. I have a production company that run in on since 2007 and I am also a exhibited artist with a gallery. I love the arts and want to create more opportunities for people to experience their full benefits

My typical process of working with a student is so do a little getting to know you exercise. I think that if we're going to go on this journey together, tell me fair that I learn about my students so that I can personalize their instruction. It is also important for them to learn about me, so that we can have a good working relationship. After the introductions are made, we start goalsetting and discussing how to get there.
