About Cynthia

Acting: I have always been an "actor's director" on set. My passion has always been to get the best performance possible from the actor, but also to impart the revelation and process of story-telling, through powerful acting.

Scriptwriting: After receiving my MFA in Scriptwriting, my love for teaching has expanded to teaching to those who have a desire to learn the craft.

Cynthia is an award-winning writer, producer, and director. She began studying acting over 35 years ago. After studying acting in LA, her love for the arts expanded to writing, directing and producting.

Cindy has written and directed five theatre productions, and three feature films, for which she has won multiple awards for directing, writing, and producing.

She is currently a candidate for a Masters Degree in Film Arts and Television at Regent University; with an emphasis on script-writing.

About the lesson

The student will complete the registration and personal data form to get to know each student's background.

I would like to really get to know each student, in order to customize a program just for them. Every actor is different. They have very distinct talents and gifts.

Acting: In class and on set, I have worked with novices to very experienced actors who already have professional acting careers established.

Scriptwriting: I have worked with students as young as high school age.

You get what you put into anything you do. Keep the passion going by study, consistency, and discipline. Rejection is a part of being an actor and a scriptwriter. Don't give up, and continue to sharpen the gift that has been given to you.

Our first film, THE BASEMENT, was particularly gratifying, in that most of the people involved were novices. The performances from these people was greater than we ever expected. Some went on to win acting awards, and have gone on to professional acting careers.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The first question is to ask yourself; "why do you want to be actor or a scriptwriter?"

The answer to this question will give you some insight in what you expect from your instructor/coach.
