About Juan

I specializes in Meitner Technique. Finding more than what the lines are saying and getting in to the meaning. I had 5 years of Esperience under my belt and studies with Bill Seper himself. Along with other amazing teacher at the school in NYC. I don’t have a degree in teaching ill be very clear about that but what i do know is that i love to help people find what THEY NEED. I know I’m very good at what i do and my work speaks for itself. I’m a passionate man who loves the craft

As human being we are always trying to find a richer meaning in life but we get healed back. Life tells us we have to have jobs and be what the world wants us to. As an actor/teacher i love what i do because i get to have a fellow student or acting friend learn about themselves. To be in a safe haven and feel that it is ok be in a space to discover.

I realize i like to teach when i went back home to Arizona. I was watching a local play and i saw that one of the actors was just dropping lines and not letting anything hit. Him the way it should. So, respectfully i went up to him after the show and congratulated him for being on stage. I didn’t congratulate him on the performance because that would of boosted his ego and that’s now what actingis about. Being in stage is a treasure all in its own. I then lead with the question “ what does true love mean to you” he had a puzzled look on his face and then said “ i don’t know” and my respinmce was “ maybe you should figure it out and then you can really have some fun.” Now granted that was forward but i needed him to see what his error was and not tell him. Hw asked for my number and we worked for a but. When he performed it for the last time. He really started to get how things should feel. And then i knew i liked to teach.

I’ve studied for 5 years with amazing teacher in NYC. Never fir i really think that i wanted to be a teacher because i would always say “ those who cant do teach” that’s far from the truth. I’m an actor yes that is true BUT I’m more than just that. Ive also done on camera, mololuge and cold readings at the school.

About the lesson

WIth the students i ask just one simple request “to be open and present while we work” as an artist we have to take ourselves away form the world for a minute to see what can and will happen. Ill go through exercises on how to open up your mind and body. To calm yourself down, so when we work we have a richer feeling and emotional life

I work with a lot of actors most have been theatre but I’ve started to transition to tv and film. It’s the same thing only is that its a faster pace that we have to move.

If your gut is telling you not to do it then don’t. Yes acting coaches are expensive and they can get costly but its all about a feeling for me. If i feel the actor is distant or anything then i wont work with them. Not because I’m arrogant but i need a person to be open. It all boils down to feeling, you just have to be in the moment to see

i was helping a friend do a on camera session and she seemed a little overwhelmed about everything. I asked her what is she feeling and then i asked her to take a deep breath. We are in a safe place, then breath its overwhelming being in a room with lights, cameras and tape everywhere. But ya have to still remember that we have a job and that’s to be truthful.

Yes i do have a standard pricing. I would help actors when i was in Arizona and would charge 45 a hour. The first 10 minutes are free, only because i want to learn about the person and what they need. I mean what’s more irritating than being in a room with a stranger lol.
