About Deziree
I am a semi-retired teacher, tutor, and lecturer specializing in English as a Second (or Subsequent) Language (ESOL). Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching in New Zealand, China, and Hong Kong. As a native New Zealander, my first language is English, and I thrive when working one-on-one with students or in small groups. My approach is to tailor each lesson to align with my students' vocational needs and lifestyle preferences. Additionally, I integrate New Zealand-specific cultural learning into my curriculum, enriching the educational experience.

About the lesson

I teach online via email and/or Zoom. I will assess your level in the first lesson and create bespoke lessons for you. Lessons are 60 minutes in length with up to 1 hour of homework exercises related to the lesson. I am a qualified teacher with BAed, GDipTch, GDipPsych, and PGCert Teaching as an Additional Language.
All lessons are via Zoom
I have experience teaching all ages and levels, from 5 to 75 years old.

Details
Your first session is free; you will have 30 minutes for me to assess your current level of English and learn your language goals. For 1 - 4 lessons, it is $45 per hour; for 5 - 9 lessons, it is $35 per hour; and for 10 lessons, it is $30 per hour. The required resources will be advised at our first session when I know your level and goals.
