About Sarah

I have been teaching languages for 18 years, in Secondary Schools, Primary Education, Adult Education and English as a foreign language for 4 years. I have taught all ages and abilities. Every year, I work for a major exam board as an assistant examiner for A Level French speaking. My students have gained A* and A grades and have all made a significant improvement in French and German. Whatever your level, I will help you to make progress in a way which suits your learning style.

I have taught and supported students at all levels and for different purposes: GCSE, A-Level, Holiday French and German, Primary French and German. I have been an assistant examiner for AQA A level French speaking for the past 4 years, so can help to support students for exams.
I have taught online for Learndirect and am computer literate.

About the lesson

I am a friendly and passionate language teacher, with experience of teaching all ages and abilities. I help students to gain confidence in their abilities, support them in ways which suit their learning style and encourage independent learning in order to become a successful and confident linguist.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach French and German, beginners to A Level; adults, primary and secondary level.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I am a qualified (BA Hons, PGCE) and experienced French, German and Spanish teacher, with experience of teaching in primary, secondary and adult education. I am 34 years old and work part-time as a tutor and supply teacher.

- How much do you charge?

I charge £25 per hour, with a reduction for more than one hour and/or groups.

- Where do you teach?

I teach in students' homes, or at my home. I am situated in Ulverston, and willing to travel up to 10 miles in every direction.

- When are you available?

I am available Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays all day. Weekends, and most evenings.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I teach primary, secondary, adults, beginners, intermediate and advanced levels.
