About Glacia

My name is Miss King, and I am the founder of Miss King’s STEM Academy. I have a strong academic background in STEM, holding an NQF Level 6 qualification in Land Surveying and an N4 in Civil Engineering. I am also currently pursuing a BSc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science to further deepen my knowledge in Mathematics and analytical sciences.
My interest in teaching began when I worked as a student assistant in 2021, where I supported learners through tutorials and academic guidance. During that time, I realized how many learners struggle not because they are incapable, but because they lack clear explanations and structured support.
I am passionate about helping learners build confidence in Mathematics and Sciences, understand concepts deeply, and realize their academic potential. Teaching allows me to make a meaningful difference while contributing to the growth of future engineers, scientists, and professionals.

About the lesson

At Miss King’s STEM Academy, we focus on structured, concept-driven learning in Mathematics and Sciences. Our approach goes beyond homework assistance — we prioritise deep understanding, problem-solving skills, and long-term academic confidence.
With a strong academic background in Land Surveying and Civil Engineering, and experience as a student assistant providing academic support, our teaching methods are analytical, practical, and results-oriented.
We break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps and tailor lessons to each learner’s needs. Our goal is not only to improve marks, but to develop independent thinkers who approach exams with clarity and confidence.
Miss King’s STEM Academy is committed to excellence, discipline, and measurable academic progress.
