About Branden

Hello! My name is Branden, and I have a passion for helping students succeed in mathematics. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Morgan State University and will soon begin graduate studies in the same field. My engineering background has given me a deep understanding of mathematics and how it applies to solving real-world problems.

In addition to my technical background, I have professional classroom experience as a middle school math teacher, where I worked with students of all learning levels. I've learned that patience, encouragement, and clear communication are the keys to helping students gain confidence and improve their skills.

I strive to create a relaxed, judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students become independent, confident problem solvers who can carry those skills into future classes and careers.

I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals!

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to fit your goals, learning style, and current skill level. Whether you're struggling with homework, preparing for an exam, or trying to build a stronger foundation in math, I'll create a step-by-step plan to help you succeed.

My lessons focus on understanding concepts rather than memorizing formulas. I break down difficult topics into simple, manageable pieces and encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson. We'll work through guided examples together before practicing independently to build confidence and long-term problem-solving skills.

As a former middle school math teacher with a degree in Electrical Engineering and upcoming graduate studies in the field, I bring both classroom experience and real-world STEM knowledge to every session. I understand how to explain complex ideas in a way that makes sense and helps students feel successful.

I work with middle school, high school, and introductory college students in subjects such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, basic Trigonometry, and general math. Whether you're looking to improve your grades, prepare for standardized tests, or simply gain confidence in math, I'm here to help you reach your goals.
