About Yara
I am a private tutor with 3+ years of private tutoring experience and a genuine interest in helping students learn with confidence.
I have previous tutoring experience supporting students at different school levels and have a strong academic background in Mathematics, English and Physics.
I previously studied education, which gave me additional experience and insight into teaching and different learning needs.
I am patient, organized and approachable. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace.
My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment while helping students develop strong foundations, confidence and independent problem-solving skills.

I offer personalized one-on-one Math lessons for students from Prep to Year 10.
Each lesson is tailored to the student's current level, learning needs and goals. I first identify the areas where the student needs support and then plan lessons.
Lessons include clear explanations, guided practice and exercises to help students understand and apply what they have learned. I encourage students to work through questions themselves and develop their problem-solving skills rather than simply giving them the answers.
For younger students, lessons focus on building strong foundations and confidence in Math. For older students, lessons can include schoolwork, homework support, revision and additional practice in areas they find challenging.
Where appropriate, I provide a small amount of homework or additional practice after the lesson so students can reinforce what they have learned.
