About Laura

I’m a 4th year Engineering student with 3 years’ experience giving one-to-one maths grinds. I work with Primary, Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate (Higher & Ordinary Level) students. My lessons are patient, supportive and tailored to each student, helping build confidence and strong mathematical foundations. Lessons are available in person in Ballinrobe or online, offering flexibility to suit every student

About the lesson

Every lesson is tailored to the student’s needs, whether they’re aiming to improve confidence, catch up in class or achieve top exam results. I explain difficult topics in a simple, step-by-step way before working through exam questions together. Students receive personalised homework and can contact me during the week if they need help with anything we’ve covered. My goal is to make maths less stressful and help every student reach their full potential.

Perfect! I highly recommend Laura. She tutored me for my Leaving Cert maths and was absolutely brilliant. She is easy to talk to, and I always felt comfortable asking questions. Her explanations made difficult topics simple, and her focus on answering exam paper questions was exactly what I needed. Thanks to her help, I went up a couple of grades and I felt so much more confident.

Perfect! Laura has been a fantastic help to our daughter in preparing her for the junior cert. She explains maths in a way that makes sense. She gives tasks to complete and then goes through the corrections afterwards. Laura is a very pleasant tutor, takes great interest in her students and encourages them all the way. She goes above and beyond to try and help! We are so glad we found her.

Laura has been an exceptional maths tutor for both of my daughters, each with different needs. She helped one daughter build confidence and overcome challenges at primary school level, while encouraging my other daughter to stretch herself and excel in Junior Cycle maths.

Laura is personable, engaging, and has a fantastic ability to tailor her approach to each student. She strikes the perfect balance between being supportive and challenging, always encouraging the girls to think independently and achieve more than they thought possible.

The progress we've seen in both their confidence and ability has been remarkable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Laura to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, encouraging, and highly effective maths tutor.
