I have been lucky enough to have been taught by Ms. Shams during my high school years on Algebra, Pre-Calculus (SAT math); and Calculus I (AP Calc AB).

She is a very calm and approachable tutor that will 100% help you finally get math. I got into my desired university: #1 ranked CS faculty in my country (ADA university) with an SAT score of 1420 because of her lessons.

After taking her lessons I felt that I learned HOW to solve technical and mathematical problems rather than just memorizing formulas or learning short methods as I had before.

Every lesson was taught from first principles yet it was still concise, simple, and unbelievably structured. While in a lesson with Ms. Shams you will never feel like the lesson is dragging on: each lesson is challenging enough that you will progress quickly, yet well paced enough that you will never feel overwhelmed.

Her assignments and homework's perfectly complement the lessons and build true understanding. I fondly remember learning trigonometry from first principles in the span of basically a week; from memorizing sin(90)=1 to being able to derive it on the unit circle within a few days.

I can confidently say that Ms. Shams was the most influential teacher I've ever had. I wholeheartedly recommend her to any student wishing to get a deeper understanding of mathematics. 10/10.

Hi, my name is David. I studied at ADA School for 2 years, and both years I had Mrs. Shams as my math teacher. Honestly, I always had problems with math until 11th grade because I never dedicated myself to this subject, but after meeting Mrs. Shams and actually understanding her explanations, I fell in love with math to the point that now I am studying engineering in Germany :)

I always loved her approach to the lessons and how she always began every topic with a proof of the topic to give us a real understanding of math. I quit my private tutor because I honestly found Mrs. Shams’ explanations so good and detailed, so I was preparing for the DIM exam (one of the main and most important exams for 11 graders in Azerbaijan) myself with the materials she always uploaded online on our Blackboard. (I reached 91 points out of 100 thanks to her)

I had the opportunity to be Shams’s student at ADA School for three years, and I can confidently say that she is an amazing mathematics instructor. I also took extra lessons with her, and she was always very patient, friendly, and clear when explaining difficult topics. When I struggled with calculus at university, I went back to the notes I had taken in her classes, and they helped me understand the material and eventually pass my university course with an A-. Ms. Shams was my math instructor in high school and accommodated amazing conditions for all students in the class, making sure everyone was doing their best to catch up with the course's pace.
