About Scarlett
I am a student who is deeply passionate about home cooking and comfort food along with healthy wholesome meals. I am self taught which means that I have learnt from experience and from growing up around my mum cooking in the kitchen. I am eager to share my knowledge of home cooking and healthy family recipes with anyone who may need it. Whether you are starting from scratch, or need extra help with how to combine the right ingredients to create meals you and your family will be excited to eat, I’m more than happy to help.

My teaching method is very hands on as I believe that the best way to learn is by doing it yourself and learning from your mistakes. I will get you to list the meals you are already confident cooking and choose one of them to make. Then I will go back through elements you did well and areas for improvement. I will also provide you with existing recipes I have prepared so that your knowledge of different meal types grows. Throughout the process of developing your skills in the kitchen we will also talk about healthy eating, culinary skills, correct equipment and safety in the kitchen. I will also touch on flavour combinations as I believe that if you crack this skill then you can cook anything!
