About Niamh
Hi, I'm Niamh! I'm passionate about helping GCSE students, especially those retaking exams, build both the knowledge and the confidence they need to succeed. Since September 2024 I've been tutoring 17-18 year olds through their Maths and Chemistry resits, and I understand how much pressure and self-doubt can build up around a second attempt, so I focus on rebuilding confidence alongside closing knowledge gaps.
I got straight A's (7-9) in my own GCSEs and achieved A-Levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, giving me a strong grounding in these subjects, and I've also achieved a Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, which reflects the same commitment and reliability I bring to every lesson.
I take tutoring seriously and always come prepared while simultaneously keeping things relaxed enough that students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes along the way.

I specialise in tutoring GCSE resit students, working with 17-18 year olds retaking their exams since September 2024. I start by identifying exactly where the gaps are, then build a focused revision plan around exam board specifications and past papers, mixing clear explanations with plenty of exam-style practice so students know how to apply what they've learnt, not just understand it.
Lessons run 1 hour, adjustable nearer exam time. I can also help students prepare for college and sixth form interviews.
I achieved A-Levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry with strong GCSE grades throughout, and I teach GCSE Maths and Chemistry, particularly resit students, though anyone wanting extra support is welcome.
