About Dianne
I have a Certificate of Advanced Study in French Language and Literature from Oxford Polytechnic in Oxford, England, gained by three years of intensive study and language immersion, and am also a Registered Nurse with experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Acute Care, Perinatal Care, Hospice Care, Rare Disease Management, and Chronic Disease Management. I have four years of experience tutoring ESL students of all ages, both in the US and in London, with one year of that experience focusing on postgraduate medical and public health settings. I also have two years of experience tutoring French. I love helping both those with a passion for language and those who struggle with foreign languages to overcome challenges and succeed in language acquisition and building fluency. I believe learning should be enjoyable, empowering, and relatable, and that instruction should be tailored to the individual student and their learning style.

I am offering ESL conversation practice for students of all ages, and specialized sessions for medical professionals. One of the hardest parts of learning a foreign language is overcoming the fear of speaking. Adequate practice in conversation with a native speaker is key! Creating a relaxed atmosphere for students of all ability levels, I offer conversation sessions tailored to each individual’s needs, building confidence, fluency, and improving pronunciation and accent through both spontaneous conversation and exercises. I have experience working with neurodivergent students and students with other learning differences and disabilities.
