About Melinda
Helping students figure out math and move forward with confidence in math has been the goal of my entire 30-year teaching career. My aim is for you to feel the joy and sense of accomplishment that comes when the challenge of the difficult is faced and met head on. You CAN DO IT! Math doesn't always come easily, but when the foundations are solidified and the connections are clarified, practice and perseverance in the right direction help you to meet any of the challenges that math sends your way.

Homework help, explanations and clarification to increase your confidence and keep you moving forward in your math learning. A typical tutoring session will be directed by your questions and deepening your understanding of your current work in the high school math course you are taking. I am delighted to work with middle school, high school, or college students studying any mathematics ranging from algebra, geometry, precalculus, trigonometry, AP Calculus AB, college first semester calculus, AP statistics or college introductory statistics. My thirty years of classroom experience allow me significant insights into correcting common misunderstandings and filling in learning gaps.
