About Daphne
Alberta and BC Certified teacher with 10 years of classroom experience. I specialize in Secondary English Language Arts. College/University essay prep, Social Studies/History, English as a Second Language and Homework Help I have experience teaching at the middle school and high school level in public and private schools in both Alberta and BC. I am also experienced in tutoring privately and professionally, experienced in TESOL and students with special needs through classroom settings and recreational/relief capacities. I graduated cum laude from Burman University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Secondary Education with English specialization and Music minor.

I have a passion for literature and writing and this will show in my teaching methods. I like to get students to see how beautiful and engaging the written word can be. I love to see those epiphany moments of understanding. A typical class includes modeling and guiding students, answering questions and being open to learning new concepts myself. My classes are meant for secondary level students who are struggling with English Language Arts and may need assistance with writing essays, understanding various literary works and much more. I believe all students are capable of success.
