Hi I'm Ben! I'm a freshman at Babson College right outside of Boston MA. I've always had an interest in teaching and leadership. In high school I was very focused on academics and playing baseball. Hi, I’m Ben, a current student at Babson College with strong experience in math and writing. I’ve taken Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Statistics, and I’m passionate about helping students strengthen their skills in a way that feels clear and encouraging.
My tutoring approach is built around patience, structure, and adaptability. I begin each session by identifying where a student feels uncertain, then break down challenging ideas into understandable steps. I encourage active problem-solving rather than memorization, helping students gain confidence and independence.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material, followed by guided practice on new concepts. I integrate real-world examples, writing prompts, or practice problems to keep sessions engaging and relevant. By the end of each lesson, students leave with a stronger grasp of the material and a clear plan for what to focus on next.
What sets me apart is my ability to make learning approachable. I understand what it’s like to struggle with a topic, and I use that empathy to explain ideas in ways that actually make sense.
My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students seeking help in math or writing, whether they’re preparing for exams, improving grades, or building lasting academic confidence.
