About Lydia
I attended 6 years of college total attending art classes and graduated with my Art Education degree in 2022. Since then I haven't taught in the classrooms of public schools but I've done various online courses and many in-person classes at an art studio near where I live. I've done study abroad trips and seen art in Italy, Germany, UK and Peru. Seeing art is almost as important as creating it. My bread and butter is watercolor and inks as well as graphic design-type work including drawing in Procreate on my iPad. I also love printmaking and ceramics, so I spend a fair amount of time making art and consider myself niche-free. I've always believed that art is important for humankind. We need art to understand ourselves and the world around us. We all feel the need to create. I also feel the need to encourage and teach.

Hi! I love teaching and I love art! I also know that anyone can be an artist and should have some form of making art as a hobby in their life. I teach based on the student's needs and I'm great at adjusting accordingly. I usually start with a warmup of some sort as well as some art history or art facts and then we'll jump into making our own masterpieces each class. My lessons are for anyone, any age, I will make the art lesson fit your needs. I have tons of activities and ideas up my sleeve that I can share with you to improve your art skills. Art is for everyone, even you.
