About Oliver
Hello, I am Oliver a CertTESOL qualified teacher with 5 years of experience teaching within schools, for charity and online.
I have always had a passion for languages and education and have an undergraduate degree in English Language and Applied Linguistics as well as a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics with TESOL.
I live in Portsmouth in the south of England and have briefly lived in Argentina which sparked my interest in language learning. I studied and am still studying Spanish which allows me to have a further insight into language learning.
I love travelling and meeting new people. I also love to read and play squash. If you have any questions I am more than happy to answer them.

The lesson is focused around you as the learner and what you would like to learn. We will discuss your learning goals and then I will create a set of lessons which I think will benefit you the most. As we progress through lessons we can make any changes that we need to the lesson schedule.
I believe that communication is the most important part of language learning. This is why my lessons are focused around Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). Through CLT we will practise skills such as: speaking, listening, reading, writing and pronunciation, and while we practise these skills using a variety of materials I will listen for areas that we may need to improve on further.
I have an undergraduate degree in English Language and Applied Linguistics and a Master degree in Applied Linguistics with TESOL as well as a CertTESOL from the Trinity College London.
I have been teaching for a number of years and have experience teaching classes in general English, business English, pronunciation reduction, IELTS exam preparation.
I am happy to teach anyone, from beginner to advanced and the lesson can be from 30 minutes to 1 hour. I am able to teach during the week and on some weekends. If you have any questions I am always happy to answer messages.
