About Cheryl

I am a dedicated and patient educator with over a decade of classroom experience. As a certified teacher with both K-6 general education and 4-12 mathematics certifications, I have the expertise to support learners across a wide range of subjects, grade levels, and learning abilities. I have worked in both classroom settings and one-on-one tutoring, personalizing my approach to meet each student's unique needs. In addition to teaching, I have designed and implemented curriculum to target key learning areas and develop essential problem-solving skills.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is personalized, engaging, and results-driven. I love working with all types of students, especially those who struggle with math or may think "I'm just not a math person." I focus on breaking down concepts into simpler, more manageable steps, making it easier to digest. My goal is not just to help my students understand the material or pass a test but to instill confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

I have experience teaching a wide range of high school math courses, from Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus.
