About Kat
I am a passionate creative who has continually pursued art as a passion and career since finishing my MFA in Printmaking in 2009. I love to create mixed media works using papermaking and printmaking. I also am a performance artist and sculptor.

I have a kind and compassionate teaching style, allowing you to reach your greatest potential through creative expression. Art training is not about innate skill, but rather it is like a muscle that needs to be flexed and trained to gain strength. I am a mixed media artist who can teach you drawing, painting, printmaking, papermaking, and sculpture techniques. I also have a background in performance art and performance videos. I have been working as an exhibiting and teaching artist since 2009. In 2025 I achieved my goal of finishing a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studio Art Research. All of this training translates to a teacher who can help you with your creative skills, but also help you write artist statements, apply to exhibitions and branch out into the art world.
