About

After studying painting for over ten years, I’m often asked: "Do your portraits really look like the people? Are you truly capturing them?" During my training, yes—I painted people with striking likeness, and objects like jars with convincing realism. But I’ve come to understand that “likeness” and “realism” are not the true standards of great art. If that were the case, wouldn’t a camera be enough? Art is different from any other discipline. A work of art gains its life from the artist, and its meaning becomes richer through the eyes of each viewer. When a child shows us their drawing, we don’t need to say it’s right or wrong. We simply need to say: “I like your work. I really appreciate it.” That kind of affirmation and support is the greatest fuel for a child’s creativity. Children are like blank sheets of paper. Their brushstrokes may seem clumsy, but their ideas shine. Our role is to treasure their originality, nurture their artistic temperament, and protect their individuality—so they grow as creators, not just imitators.

About the lesson

Teaching Method:
Our art classes focus on creativity, self-expression, and confidence-building. Each lesson combines guided instruction with open-ended projects. We use age-appropriate techniques such as basic drawing skills, color blending, pattern design, and storytelling through art. Children are encouraged to explore different materials including watercolor, acrylic, oil pastels, and collage. The teaching style is warm, playful, and highly interactive — perfect for curious young minds!
Tutor Experience:
Taught by an experienced art teacher with a Master’s degree in oil painting and 10+ years of experience teaching children aged 5–12 in both studio and workshop settings.
