About Khanyisile

I have been teaching ESL for over 20 years, informally and formally. I use drama as a medium of teaching to make learning fun. Why should learning a language be a frightening experience? I ensure my students smile to success

About the lesson

As a norm, I combine the use of Drama as a Medium of Communication with the Appreciative Inquiry (AI) approach, and I find that this stimulates both adults and children because of the 21st Century environment of Rights, Globalisation, Easy Access to Information and Social Media. Thus students respond negatively to traditional approaches where they are reduced to sponges that suck everything from the teacher, with little participation, recognition of their prior knowledge or maximisation on their already existing strengths.
