About Polly
I have been teaching for 10 years. Each year I serve approximately 50 students in small group settings. My students usually test out of the ESL program by 5th grade with at least a level 5 on the language acquisition timeline.

I have a master's degree in bilingual education and teaching English as a second language. I have worked as an ESL teacher with students grades kindergarten through 5th grade. I believe learning another language should be enjoyable and lively! I do not believe a language can be acquired by learning vocabulary words out of context or memorizing grammar rules.
