About Madi

I have always loved teaching. I started tutoring my friends' younger siblings when I was in high school. In college, I tutored and graded as a TA for my professor's classes. Then I went to graduate school and led my own classrooms as an adjunct instructor. When I worked in the tech industry, I helped train new employees on our software and methodology.

Now I am 29 years old, living in Washington, DC and pursuing a career in teaching and tutoring. My previous experience is mostly in STEM subjects at the high school and college levels. I am also TESOL certified because I love meeting people from all over the world and helping them to learn English. In my spare time I like to travel, dance, and study foreign languages.

About the lesson

Every tutoring session is customized to your goals. So, I always start by asking you what you want to achieve in our lessons. Next, I watch you complete some example exercises. I will assess your level, your strengths and weaknesses, and the way your brain works. Then I will offer my advice and demonstrate new methods.

I have 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have taught all ages from 3-year-olds to adults. I teach ESL, math, and science from beginner to university level. I am TESOL certified, I have a master's degree in Biology, and I worked in the tech industry for 3 years. Because of my various work experiences, I have broad knowledge about the language, math, and science that can help you succeed in school, work, and social settings.

Anyone can take my lessons. If you are in school, I can help you learn the material you need to know to do well in your classes. If you are working, I can help you improve your technical and people skills for work. If you are just learning on your own, we can set custom goals and I can even assign you "homework" that will help you reach those goals.
