About Teo
I have been teaching privately for about 4 years and in schools/academies for about one year. I have taught students from all over the world, of all ages (from 3 years old to adults) and of all linguistic levels! With a background in Psychology and Neuroscience (with a focus on well-being and communication) I have always been interested in how people communicate and acquire language. On the way I have gained teaching techniques and materials with which I aided my students attain Trinity, Cambridge English and IELTS certificates with brilliant results. However, I'm proudest of the improvements they made in writing and speaking skills. Since producing a new language can be daunting, I am incredibly glad of the efforts my students put in and the guidance they followed to achieve this !

Hello, I'm Teo, currently working as an online English Teacher with students from Asia. While studying my degrees in Psychology (BSc) and Computational Neuroscience (MSc) I started teaching English to foreign students and children, moving on to continue teaching it in Spain, Portugal and the UK. I teach all section of the language (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading and writing) but I focus on the production skills (speaking and writing) which seem to give a headache to most students. I always let and encourage my students choose the topics of discussion, to which I bring extra information and aid (documentaries, articles, newspapers or book recommendations) and of course the relevant language. This way students learn with excitement about something they care, and leave with both an improved level of English as well as with extra knowledge of their interest. In my free time I enjoy sports (fitness) and art, especially music and design.
