Methodology
When teaching, I think it is paramount to base your teaching on a holistic approach to the student; assessing their needs, interests and capabilities. I am a huge advocate for Carol Dweck's 'Growth Mindset' and believe that anyone is capable of achieving anything they wish with the right mindset. I like to avoid a prescriptive, traditional approach to teaching and prefer student-centred approaches which allow both myself and the student to grow and learn alongside one another.
Experience
I have 2 years experience in English teaching; from primary school age up to adults. I achieved an A* in English Language GCSE, an A* in English Literature at A-Level.
At university, I am studying a BA degree in English and Spanish and graduated my first year with a 2:1.
I am also a TEFL Qualified Teacher with accreditation in Business English, Young Learners and Exam Prep. I passed this with a distinction (96.26%)
