About Mijin
My first tutoring gig was when I moved from California to South Korea at age 16. Since then, I have tutored students of all ages and taught in the classroom (as well as online) for over 20 years. My expertise is in EFL, English Grammar, Composition, Academic Reading Strategies, and Language Arts and Writing. Students have described me as patient and clear with my explanations. My favorite part of tutoring is to see students grow and improve.

Most recently, I worked with gifted K-7 students in the Language Arts and Writing curriculum of the Stanford Distance Learning Program. I also have experience teaching high school EFL students and first generation college students, as well as adult EFL learners. I typically focus on reading and writing strategies but am open to working on whatever needs the student has.
