About Gabriella,

I am a graduate with the best academic achievement from the Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya. I took my education majoring in English Education so I had many opportunities to provide private lessons for junior and senior high school students from several well-known schools in Surabaya. After I graduated, I was immediately accepted to work at Kr. Petra 1 Surabaya as an English teacher.

About the lesson

In teaching English as a foreign language, the teacher uses the student-centered learning method where students are the main subject of teaching and learning activities while the teacher is only a facilitator. In other words, all learning will be carried out according to the needs and interests of students. In addition, the communicative language teaching method will also be applied in learning as a way to help students be more active in learning English and develop speaking and listening skills. To develop writing and reading skills, the teacher will provide many practice questions and give students the opportunity to write and get constructive feedback from the teacher. If learning is done in groups, teachers will use cooperative learning and peer teaching methods which will improve not only their language skills but also their social and emotional skills.
