About Karen

Hi! I'm an English, French and Spanish teacher and the founder of Khori Learning. My main goal is to revolutionize the way we learn languages, moving away from traditional rigidity to offer a human, empathetic, and truly effective teaching approach.

I know exactly how frustrating it is to study English for years in school and feel like you can't hold a fluent conversation. That's why I decided to teach from a completely different perspective: creating a safe environment where every student feels heard and supported.

I help middle and high school students succeed in their subjects, as well as individuals looking to unlock their spoken English skills. I don't believe in effortless magic formulas, but I do believe in total commitment, individualized support, and showing you that you too can master English.

Adapted to the Spanish education system: Specific support for the ESO and Bachillerato curriculum, ensuring you understand the grammar taught in school while applying it to real-world situations.

Priority given to spoken expression: You practice conversation from the very first minute to overcome shyness and gain natural fluency.

Personalized and pressure-free support: I create a safe and supportive environment where you can ask questions without fear and progress at your own pace.

*** Typical session structure (60 min): ***

Warm-up and conversation (10 min): Relaxed chat about your day or a topic of interest to loosen up and activate your language skills.

Main block (35 min):
School option (ESO/Bachillerato/EBAU): Reinforcement of school content, Q&A, exam techniques, and writing.
Conversation and General option: Practical activities, debate, useful vocabulary, and real-world situations.

Closing and feedback (15 min): Close review of key points to consolidate, gentle correction of common mistakes, and objectives for the next session.

*** Who are these classes for? ***

Secondary and Baccalaureate students: To consolidate school material, improve grades, and prepare for the EBAU exams with confidence. Young people and adults: To overcome the fear of speaking English while traveling, in work environments, or in everyday life.
