About Morgan
My day-job is making coffee as a professional barista, but I want to become an English tutor to help foreign language speakers improve their English skills. In 2020 I completed my CELTA course using Zoom, and I developed and taught a range of lessons to pre-intermediate and upper-intermediate students. I enjoy helping language students increase their vocabulary and find new ways to express themselves in English. I have 2 completed University degrees, one in Psychology and the other in Creative Writing and Literature, and I also completed a TESOL diploma in the early 2010's.

My lessons are fun, informative, and engaging, and I am a friendly, approachable, and energetic teacher. I approach language teaching as a student-centered, collaborative activity, where the needs of my students are my top priority, and I plan my lessons according to what activities I think will be the most engaging and interactive for the students. Language skills have only be improved through active use of that language, so in my lessons, I plan to involve the students as much as possible in an interactive approach rather than a teacher-focused approach. I would prefer my students to work things out through discussion and activities than for me to just explain things to them.
