I am an accomplished English language teacher with 10 years of experience delivering English for academic purposes and general English courses at private universities, and language institutions in Asia and the U.K. My students have passed their FCE and achieved the IELTS band required to enter U.K universities. I have also taught pre-sessional English to undergraduates.

I would describe my teaching philosophy as student-centered: I begin with the learners’ needs as the basis on which to develop lessons. I believe it is important to discover topics students enjoy to ensure lessons are engaging and guided by the students’ interests.
Secondly, l give students the tools to foster independent learning; for example, l introduce students to various strategies, to tackle vocabulary or approaching challenging texts, because l believe this helps learners in becoming more responsible for their language learning journey.
